Responsible for providing science-based prevention services to children, youth, and families. Implements best-practice curricula.
Requires a HS or GED diploma and training & exp equivalent to an Associate’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related behavioral health field, plus two years of related experience; or a Bachelor's degree.
Ability to interact effectively with youth and families; knowledge of prevention principles and practices; experience working with at-risk children and their families; ability to work effectively on a team; knowledge of community resources;
knowledge/ability to work effectively cross-culturally; and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Languages preferred: English AND French, Arabic, Swahili, or other refugee language.
"Behavioral health work experience" means providing behavioral health services:
- In an agency, Or
- To an individual, Or
- In a field related to behavioral health
